Morlet Family Vineyards
Bright yellow. Intense bouquet of candied lemon, muscat, and honeysuckle flavors intermixed with sweet notes of ripened apricot and fresh quince. Full-bodied, seamless, refined and complex. A harmonious blend of the three classic white Bordeaux varietals grown in the Golden State’s Sonoma County, this unique cuvée was handcrafted using classical winemaking techniques inspired from Pessac-Léognan. As in architectural arts, it is ‘The Golden Ratio’ or ‘La Proportion Dorée.’
Wine Advocate
One would be hard-pressed to find a better Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blend than the 2006 La Proportion Doree, which is a blend of two-thirds Semillon and one-third Sauvignon with a touch of Muscadelle added in. Barrel-fermented and aged in wood, there are 580 cases of this wine, which has a gorgeous nose of honeyed figs, lemon grass, melon, and citrus oil. A full-bodied, dry, beautifully textured, superb white Bordeaux look-alike, it should drink well for 5-6 years.

Wine Spectator
There's a grand intensity to the focused beam of pear, citrus, mineral, nectarine and apricot flavors in this well-structured, fleshy and full-bodied wine. Balances elegance and finesse with power and persistence, and there's a ripe juiciness to the fruit flavors. Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. Drink now through 2011.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
