Color: Brilliant and golden yellow.
Nose: Mineral, white fleshed fruits, dried apricot, slight musk scent.
Mouth: Well-balanced, fruity, apple sauce, acidity contributing to a pleasantly fresh taste. An agreeable vanilla touch to woody notes.
Wine Spectator
Superdense, with lots of bass showing now--anise, fennel seed, cardamom, glazed pear and fig--but there's still plenty of minerality behind it all, with a long, salted butter finish that just won't quit. Best from 2010 through 2025.

Wine Advocate
The warmest terroir for the white Ermitage cuvees is Le Meal, an upper mid-slope terroir with a great exposition.The most flamboyant of these wines, the 2005 Ermitage Le Meal blanc, exhibits notes of buttered citrus, copious tropical fruit, crushed rocks, white currants, and an amazing amount of honeysuckle allied with good acidity and enormous body.

International Wine Cellar
Medium gold. Very ripe, dense aromas of honeyed apricot and peach, deepened by smoked meat, white chocolate and beeswax. Powerful, almost brooding, with deep, superripe, smoky flavors of fig, apricot and quince paste. Oily in texture, with serious weight and depth, this will need to be served with the richest, most decadent dishes.

All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
