Albino Rocca
Deep garnet red in color, the Bric Ronchi has an intense nose packed with fruity aromas of cherry and blackberry, layered with notes of vanilla, toasted nuts, and sweet spices. Rich, soft, and quite fresh on the palate, it has fine tannins and good length.
Wine Advocate
Rocca's 2005 Barbaresco Bric Ronchi is the most complex of his Barbarescos. The wine flows from the glass with layers of dark fruit, sweet French oak, minerals, menthol and licorice. This big, strapping wine could use another year or two in bottle to come together, but its ample potential is evident today. The Bric Ronchi was aged in French oak (40%) and larger cask (60%). Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.

Wine Enthusiast
This vineyard-designate Barbaresco offers a very sweet nose of candied fruit, Christmas spice and nutmeg. There are earthy, mineral notes at the back that give it character and definition and the wine leaves a smooth and supple impression in the mouth. Drink after 2012.

Shows loads of strawberry jam on the nose. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and lots of ripe fruit and oak. Slightly mouthpuckering. Needs time to come around. Best after 2012.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
