Bond Winery

Expressing the character of a northeastern facing Spring Mountain estate, this wine is noteworthy for its complex array of earth-inspired aromas and fleshy mid-palate--a bold wine with a lengthy finish.

Wine Advocate

Bond’s new baby, Pluribus, is primarily all Cabernet Sauvignon from a vineyard planted high on Spring Mountain (at a 900 foot elevation). As one might expect, the 2003 Pluribus exhibits an inky/blue/purple color in addition to a beautiful bouquet of blueberries, violets, and crushed rocks. Pure, rich, and streamlined, with blue and black fruit flavors that linger on the palate, this distinctive red should drink well for 15 or more years.

Score: 93. —Robert Parker, December 2006.

Wine Enthusiast

From Spring Mountain, a new Bond single-vineyard bottling. It’s a big wine, a bit obvious and, for me, the least of the current batch. It’s so big it’s almost cumbersome, and lacks the breed and elegance of its sister wines. Toasty caramel overpowers, while the wine is as gooey-sweet as melted chocolate. It’s a controversial wine, made from very young vines. Could be an ager.

Score: 90. —Steve Heimoff, February 01, 2007.
